Health Schedules

J and J Aussies follows a strict schedule of worming and vaccinations to prevent common canine health problems including the following:

  • variety of worms, usually Strongid and Panacur
  • prevention of giardhia and coccidiosis (parasites common in young puppies that can cause diarrhea and dehydration especially during stressful times)
  • common diseases such as parvo, distemper, etc. (see below)

Vaccinations 

According to AAHAnet.org:

Developed in a manner consistent with best vaccination practices, the 2011 Guidelines include expert opinions supported by scientific study, published and unpublished documents, and encompass all canine vaccines currently licensed in the U.S. and Canada. The task force that developed the guidelines included experts in immunology, infectious diseases, internal medicine, law, and clinical practice.

Vanguard Plus 5

 – for prevention of canine distemper caused by canine distemper (CD) virus, infectious canine hepatitis (ICH) caused by canine adenovirus type 1 (CAV-1), respiratory disease caused by canine adenovirus type 2 (CAV-2), canine parainfluenza caused by canine parainfluenza (CPI) virus, and canine parvoviral enteritis caused by canine parvovirus (CPV) and CPV-2c
